Tried out a new method of shading(new to me..

The picture was actually of a girl, but this one turned out to be somewhere between a woman n a man.. It always was like that for me. I find it a bit hard to get the feminine features right.

And what is it that stops you from getting feminine features right? Not enuff practice in sketching them?
Doesn’t matter it is from a male or female .. there is some emotion burning to burst out…
There is much to more this piece then what meets the eye. The face seems to have engulfed an extreme emotion holding within.. there’s poise in it.. and as you named it .. there’s HOPE oozing out of it.
looks like a woman in her middle age…experienced and wise and may be has become a bit hard on the exterior because of the times shes faced….liked it for sure
